Volunteering

Give back to your communities. Many of you are actively using your gifts to enrich the lives of others. We would like to honor you here, share your stories, and encourage others to engage in ways to bring music to communities around the country. Send us your stories! And watch this space for OperaWorks nationwide volunteer campaigns!

Here are a few alumni active in volunteer activities!

"Cindy Sadler has a great idea. Let's fight hate with song and use our voices to drown out those that protest at military funerals. We will be trying our hardest to do this in an organized, respectful fashion by checking with groups that communicate directly to the families. We will ask permission to show up and use our voices and strength in numbers to give these families what they and their fallen loved ones truly deserve.  We've put this group together to share ideas, gather info and make plans, so please read the posts and check the Events page for happenings in your area. If you are willing to organize, please speak up!  --Kimberly Giordano, soprano
